We have always been strongly and concretely linked to the region and the community in which we operate, promoting its positive development. We support projects aimed at building a society capable of embracing the uniqueness of each individual, supporting the most vulnerable people, and offering more opportunities. We contribute to various causes through: the donation of our products; the purchase of useful goods; financial contributions; and support for sports and cultural associations and activities.

We believe in the importance of personal and family well-being: in 2022, to improve the work-life balance, we introduced 1 day of smart working per week compatible with the tasks performed in all our Group companies. We have also introduced hourly flexibility for companies in Italy.

We believe in female talent: passion, dedication and sensitivity are qualities that make women crucial to the success of our brands. In our teams, women are often predominant, for example, in the case of BioNike, they make up 79%, of which 67% have a managerial role.

We believe in the importance of constant skills development, which is why we invest in continuous training for our employees.

During 2023, we carried out a salary equity study to define plans aimed at offering conditions that are as respectful as possible of the skills and roles of each professional.

As part of our three-year Sustainability Action Plan for the 2024/2026 period, we have dedicated an important chapter of the Social part to initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of our people, such as upgrading our workspaces, an evolution of our internal corporate communication, and engagement activities that increase the sense of belonging to the company and the sharing of the group's founding values.

Community and Region

In 2024, we chose to fund a scholarship for a researcher at the IEO-Monzino Foundation.

As of 2024, we are financially supporting the school for autistic children in Melegnano.

In 2024, we decided to fund a scholarship for the Master Executive Fragrance & Cosmetic Management of the Italian Perfumery Institute.

Over the past few years, with the various companies in our group, we have contributed to various causes by donating our products, making financial contributions and purchasing useful products for associations such as:

  • Fondazione Pace e Bene (Peace and Good Foundation), committed to supporting the physical, psychological, economic, cultural and social well-being of those in need;
  • Associazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla (AISM) (Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association), which deals with all aspects related to multiple sclerosis (MS) such as health and socio-medical services, and the promotion, direction and funding of scientific research;
  • Associazione Tutti per Atta (All for Atta Association) in support of children hospitalised at the Gaslini Hospital in Genoa;
  • The "Medici con l'Africa Cuamm" (Doctors with Africa Cuamm) non-profit organisation for the protection of the health of African populations in the most disadvantaged areas;
  • The "FareXBene" (DoXGood) non-profit organisation with the "Pagina Bianca" (White Page) event to combat gender-based violence, bullying and cyberbullying;
  • Centro Accoglienza Ambrosiano (Ambrosian Welcoming Centre), a community that welcomes women and their children living in economic and social difficulty;

During the Coronavirus outbreak, we donated ultrasound scanners, medical equipment and protective devices essential for the care of CoVID-19 patients, worth €100,000, to the Ospedale Maggiore di Lodi (Maggiore Hospital of Lodi), the Ospedale Maggiore di Cremona (Maggiore Hospital of Cremona) and the Ospedale Maggiore di Crema (Maggiore Hospital of Crema). We also donated a major supply of our brands' products to the medical and healthcare staff of 39 Italian hospitals, worth €400,000;

We supported the Ukraine by donating products to the Red Cross and by raising funds for basic necessities;

We carried out sponsorship activities for the Savona Marathon and for the Rari Nantes Savona athletes of the new synchronised with the ESI company;

From 2019 to 2022, with BioNike, we partnered with the Farfalle Azzurre as Official Sponsor of the National Rhythmic Gymnastics Team and Beauty Partner of the Italian Gymnastics Federation (2020-2021);

Since 2011, BioNike has been supporting art by sponsoring important exhibitions (exhibition of Titian, Frida Kahlo and Matisse at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, exhibition of Amedeo Modigliani at Palazzo Blu in Pisa), the restoration of works of art (Restoration of Alesso Baldovinetti's Annunciation at the Uffizi in Florence) and support for the activities of major Italian theatres (La Scala in Milan, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, Teatro Bellini and Teatro Stabile in Naples, Pompeii Theatrum Mundi).
