Research & Development

We are increasingly committed to improving the eco-friendly profile of our products, mainly through our formulation and packaging choices. We analyse the environmental impact of the entire life cycle of our main products through the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, with the aim of improving their environmental profile and life cycle efficiency. Our 4 Research & Development centres work daily to develop excellent formulations in terms of both efficacy and skin tolerability, as well as in terms of eco-sustainability. Our packaging philosophy is based on the principle of guaranteeing quality, safety, complete formulation preservation, convenience and gratification for the end consumer while avoiding the waste of resources and materials. We are constantly striving to optimise and improve the environmental impact of our packaging by making our packs as recyclable and/or recycled as possible and reducing the amount of resources used.

Packaging

We prioritise recyclable materials in all our packaging.

Since 2020, we have incorporated recycled plastic across all our brands.

Our packaging designs focus on single-component or easily separable materials to facilitate consumer recycling.

We are reducing plastic consumption as much as possible thanks to adopting refill packaging systems. Environment-friendly refills use up to 80% less plastic compared to bottles with dispensers. In addition, when they are empty and become waste, they flatten out completely, thus minimize storage space, thereby facilitating their management and transportation.

We have modernised our packaging approach by replacing traditional paper inserts with convenient QR codes. This digital solution gives consumers easy access to product information while reducing paper waste.

We have eliminated cellophane and are transitioning to pure pulp thermoforming to maintain product protection while reducing plastic use.

We opt for FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified paper and cardboard in our packaging, ensuring all materials come from responsibly managed forests. This certification guarantees that our paper products meet rigorous environmental and social standards.
